Week 8 (Peer- reading, design a website or an exercise)

Dear E-mates,
This week marks some important work on the course. All the class were busy trying to finish their drafts for peer reading in time.

It’s a good experience to read others drafts and give them feedback and make use of their feedback to you. Actually I am lucky to work with Luis and Angels. They helped me with their feedback.

As for the exercise or the website, I gave Hot Potatoes a try and designed a simple exercise there. Here is the link: http://uk3.hotpotatoes.net/ex/103368/FGNPFOSR.php

I also designed a “prezi” presentation. Please, have a look Here.

    1. Hi Kayyum,
First of all I’d like to present my admiration of your draft. You put your fingers on the problem and perfectly found a technological solution. You also have plan B in your draft. I like this part as it will rescue you in case of computer problems.

I think you should also think of teaching your students some reading skills such as scanning and skimming because I notice that whatever we do we will always find some strange or unfamiliar words in the reading passages. May be that doesn’t fit your problem because I see that your aim is to teach the students the most common words.

I hope my comment be useful to you.

      Regards,

  5. Hello Said,

It is good to be partners for the review.

You made a nice presentation, as you mentioned on Nicenet, the problem is it isn't free, and the downloadable version gives you a certain time only.
Do you think you'll use PPT too or will swich?

    Luis.

    1. Hi Luis,

I am thinking of using the PowerPoint in a creative way along with prezi in an online mood. I think that will function as holding the stick from the middle.

  6. Hi Said,
I liked your Perzi presentation very much. Nice job, my friend. Also i'm happy that you've been to the marvellous Edinburgh. I guess this nice photo you have on your profile was taken on the top of Arthur's Seat.
